Childcare
Oakland possesses many programs for children of all ages types and demographics. Here our youth is invested with Oakland Parks, Recreation and Youth Development areas that host year round events. Academic help is also provided at the Oakland Public Library to promote literacy. Underneath we have a small portion of the programs that Oakland offers to uplift it's youth
Aim High
Aim High is a 5 week program that focuses on culturally relevant subjects. STEM is included but they highlight Humanities, Issues & Choices, and outside activities. This program enhances and prioritizes being an advanced and high learner.
Girl Inc.
Girls Inc is a program located in Alameda County specifically designed to assist girls who have less access to educational and financial resources. They specifically work on changing these girls lives by guiding them into their full potential through pro-girl environments, mentorships and specialized programs. Their programs expand to cover elementary through high school. They have both SUMMER PROGRAMS and SCHOOL-YEAR PROGRAMS.
East Oakland Development Center is a non-profit organization that focuses on character building through coaching workshops and after school programs. They provide programs through Kindergarten thru College.
